Strengthening for Pointe and Beyond
Ballet 4 closely follows the structure of B3, but with a stronger emphasis on preparing students for pointe work and more advanced ballet technique. As dancers progress, focused attention is given to developing proper placement, leg and ankle strength, core engagement, and refined turnout — all essential for safe and successful pointe work.
At the barre, students continue to deepen their understanding of classical technique with exercises designed to enhance control, alignment, and line. In the center, time is devoted to building confidence in movement, artistry, and stage presence, while reinforcing technical fundamentals.
By the end of the year, students in Ballet 4 will confidently demonstrate key elements such as plié relevé on one leg, frappé, fondu, piqué turns in center with spotting, pirouettes, glissade, tour jeté, waltz turns, and changement.
This level lays a strong foundation for the transition to pointe work and higher-level ballet training, combining strength, precision, and expressive movement.
