The First Step into Formal Ballet Training
This class marks the beginning of formal classical ballet instruction. At this level, class length increases to up to 1 hour and 30 minutes, providing students the time and structure needed to build a strong technical foundation.
The first 30–45 minutes of class are dedicated to structured barre work, where dancers focus on strength, coordination, proper placement, and essential technique. Through a carefully sequenced routine—including plié, tendu, jeté, rond de jambe, développé, and grand battement—students begin to understand the discipline and detail that classical ballet requires.
The second half of class takes place in the center, where dancers apply their barre work while continuing to build balance, fluidity, and artistry. Students will also begin learning more structured turns and jumps, as well as the expressive use of arms and upper body to support musicality and performance quality.
