Stepping into Intermediate Ballet
Ballet 6 marks the beginning of intermediate ballet training. At this stage, dancers have a solid working knowledge of ballet vocabulary, technique, and alignment, and are ready to take on more complex movement with confidence and intention.
Classes continue to focus on strength, placement, and artistry, with a growing emphasis on performance quality. Dancers are reminded that every moment—whether in rehearsal or class—is a chance to perform. Precision, expression, and musicality are woven into each exercise, reinforcing both technique and stage presence.
Students will be introduced to more advanced turns and jumps, and are expected to demonstrate proper body alignment, consistent core engagement, and thoughtful use of port de bras. By the end of B6, dancers will be able to learn and perform combinations with greater ease, attempt double pirouettes, and hold the leg near 90 degrees in front, side, and back positions.
